Here I Shall Find You In Victoria Bay

(Written January 17, 2003.)

Once again I find myself roaming the seven seas in search
of the one I love.
So many years I aimlessly wandered in no specific direction,
for love was truly lost.
Two ill-fated lovers were separated over twenty years ago.
I have sailed every ocean of the four corners of the earth
looking for her.
We both had taken a lovers vow to find each other.
We both had lived a lifetime of experiences while apart.
We both were the Captains of each other's hearts.
Tonight I prayed to God to show me the way and heaven parted
and the stars pointed me in a Southwestern direction.
I set my sails of love in search of her.
She is the Lady Pirate that stole my heart and soul.
Alas, this port that I sailed into had heard our tale of forbidden
love.
I was directed to Lovers Bay.
As I draw closer to the shore,
I could feel her presence as strong as ever.
We were no longer young lovers.
We no longer had to steal treasured moments together
as we did during our youth as pirates.
Most importantly,
we no longer were indentured significant others,
of lovers that did not deserve our gratitude.
I come bearing a treasure chest full of memories and hopes of tomorrow.
Of golden stories of love waiting to be written and told,
longing for the warm embrace of her oceans swells to engulf me.
Drowning me once again in her love.
Yet bringing life into a body waiting to be revived.
Death could be no kinder than this,
in the realm of reality of euphoria.
Her lips pressed against mine,
her eyes searching the windows of my soul.
Where art thou my Pirate Queen?
I have come to lay my saber at your feet and protect you with my life.
I can feel your presence getting closer.
I will not stop until I find you.
Until we once again set our sails into the sunset,
where we can laugh again,
love again and sometimes cry again.
Nurturing each other to live again.
Here I shall find you in Victoria Bay.
